The Trails |
|

One of the most unique and interesting
features of Summerlin is its Summerlin Trail System. It is
designed to link the community's villages, neighborhoods and
parks, and will eventually encompass more than 150 miles.
Currently there are more than 40 miles of the system that
consist of village trails, regional trails, natural trails and
street-side trails. Village trails are often located in
natural arroyos and man-made corridors, designed to give
walkers a rest from traffic and noise. Regional trails are
part of the proposed valley-wide trail system and will link
the bureau of Land Management land in the Red Rock Canyon
National Conservation Area. These trails are cooperative
efforts with Clark County, City of Las Vegas and the Howard
Hughes Corporation. They are designed for non-motorized uses.
Natural trails, designed for hiking, will connect from
undeveloped areas of Summerlin to the planned regional trails. |
